Get your motors running!

As drivers are sitting at the starting line revving their engines, they are not simply trying to time the light or show off. In actuality, their engines are finely tuned, calibrated to run at high RPMs. If they remain idle, they will actually stall out when the gas is punched. Revving the engine keeps the car more stable. Kids are much the same way.
As we are training our kids for the conditions of the road, hazards they may encounter, and how to run the car the way it was designed, we need to provide active ways to demonstrate how we live out our faith – to “rev” the engine. This means to look for proactive ways to demonstrate what it means to serve – inside and outside the Church, join other believers in heart-felt prayer, opportunities to tell others what they are learning, and avenues for them to actively invite others to Church. It can sound a little complicated. However, it really means to demonstrate our faith before them.
This is one of the reasons we will be hosting “Dunamis Drive” in November. This hands-on-event, similar to Pinewood Derby, gives an excuse to work with your kids, have real conversations, and encourage them to be a witness by inviting their friends. Don’t let the car just sit idle! (Cars available October 20th)
