Power as a Team
“Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2
Horses are incredibly powerful. An average draft horse can pull an average of 350lbs. for a full eight-hour day. For me, just carrying a load of chicken food can leave me winded! However, did you know that when you couple horses not only can they carry twice the amount of weight, but three times? And well-trained horses can pull up to four times! In a team, there is power. The same can be said for us.
We were not made to live this life alone. God has given us relationships for a purpose. This includes our spouse, family and fellow brother and sisters in Christ. We need individuals who desire God’s heart to pour into our lives and hold us accountable. Individuals who encourage us to love as Christ did and have permission to ask us the tough questions. This also takes us being open and vulnerable; however, when we do we are yoking ourselves together in love and exemplifying the character of Christ. And the movement that we can make for the Kingdom of God will be immeasurable.
